Enjoy your Stitching

Thursday Ladies are busy with their Sampler Quilt.  And they have recently finished their Seminole blocks.  (Pics below)

On Monday we are about to start a small (ish) nine block quilt.  Using a variety of blocks including flying geese using a flying geese ruler, some disappearing Nine Patch and four patch blocks to name just a few.

Until I did some research on disappearing Nine Patch I didn't realise there were so many variations.

I'll post updates as we go along.

Please remember my Quilty Friends as with everything we make together,  please  please feel free to participate as much or little as works for you.

Although I want to share/show you everything.  I know that each of us are different (definitely a good thing) some of you stitch fast, some sew more slowly. Some enjoy complicated blocks that stretch them. Some enjoy a repetitive block that relaxes them. Different colours and patterns of fabric attract different people. And that's one of the reasons I love patchwork and quilting - we are all different but brought together by a love/need to create.

Time obviously dictates just how much anyone can produce.  Family commitments and of course the unexpected.  Always expect the unexpected I say.

This is a hobby, something to be enjoyed.  Sometimes a challenge - that's good now and again.  Occasionally frustrating, I know many a sewing machine will be on the receiving end of a quilters frustrations. Mostly it should provide you with a sense of achievement, pride and satisfaction.

It shouldn't become a chore, cause stress, upset you - at least not regularly. Keep it light, keep it happy. Relax and Enjoy.

Yours in Stitches Joy.

No Ros they are not made using a Jelly Roll. Just normal fabric pieces. The top two are mine and the bottom two are one of the Thursday Ladies blocks.
